Thanks to Miss Alodia Gosiengfiao and Myrtle Gail Sarrosa, the term cosplay is known to almost everyone in the Philippines. But cosplay is more than Alodia or Myrtle, it's more than posing for photographers, more than the fame you get if you cosplay, more than the money you win from contests.
Cosplay is an art.
Having been in the Davao cosplay scene ever since it started in the city, I've met all kinds of cosplayers. There are those who are passionate about it, there are those who are in it for the fame, there are those who are in it to be someone else for a day or two, and others just want to be taken photos of.
No matter the reason for cosplay, there are more and more people who are into it now.
This isn't just a Japan thing. Not just a Philippines thing. It's world-wide. But let me focus on the cosplayers of Davao for this first ever post.
Davao cosplayers are awesome. There is just so much talent here. And with my photography I hope to showcase just how good Davao cosplayers are.
So here are a few photos of Davao Cosplayers I've had the privilege to take photos of.

See how awesome our cosplayers are? These are only some of the awesome cosplayers here in Davao. I'll be uploading and featuring more in the future.
If you guys get the chance to join a cosplay event, don't pass it up! You'll see more of the awesomeness (above) and more!
Also, if you see me... Don't hesitate to say "Hi!" or "Yo!" or "Wassaaaaaaap?", whichever floats your boat. I might give you a cos-card if I have any on my person when you do greet me.
See you guys around!
*Note: All photos taken by me. Please do not take them and use them on any other sites. If you want to feature them, please contact me first. E-Mail is to your left. Thank you.*
